Overview

Based in Northern, VA, Aveshka, Inc. is seeking a Business Process Analyst to provide critical technical leadership on a CBP Portfolio whose purpose is to develop, modernize, enhance, migrate to the cloud, and operate & maintain applications within the portfolio. The Business Process Analyst requires a strong mix of customer service skills and a detailed understanding of the domain(s) supported by their assigned application(s) to define user stories, incorporate features into the portfolio backlog, and develop the portfolio roadmap in collaboration with the portfolio architect. Responsibilities

  • Work with clients and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements
  • Develop user stories and to-be process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions for our clients

Overview

Based in Northern, VA, Aveshka, Inc. is seeking all levels of Full Stack Developer with strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States.

In this hands-on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverable of projects through all aspects of the software development life cycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Overview

Aveshka’s Technology Service Division is looking for a hands-on Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Business Analyst to join our federal technology services practice. We are looking for a consummate professional that can complete HRIS business analysis tasks as a part of a small team of business analysts and systems experts within a larger agile software development team serving the United States Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC.

You will participate in discussions with business/mission stakeholders to elicit and gather business and technical requirements to document the EOP HRIS “as-is” state processes. You will work directly with the government’s subject matter experts to capture their user needs, analyze business requirements, and write detailed user stories with detailed acceptance criteria. Aveshka is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team supporting a high op-tempo, high visibility, and high-impact office within the Department of Health and Human Services.The Office of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. This position will support the Office of Emergency Management and Medical Operations (EMMO).

Responsibilities

This individual will support the Office of Emergency Management and Medical Operations (EMMO) by doing the following:

  • Analyzing, preparing, and presenting monthly and yearly financial data, analyzing resources and expenses, and assisting in verifying and maintaining financial data integrity.
  • Overseeing and conducting financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting and develops metrics to drive process improvements and provide decision support to staff leadership.
  • Providing Subject Matter expertise in financial planning and budget execution.
  • Providing business and financial expertise to programmatic offices. Responsible for drafting, analyzing, and documenting current business processes.
  • Working with process owners, program leaders’ participants, and end users to develop and implement improved financial models.
  • Providing financial spend plan administration for EMMO Programs Division.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • BS or advanced degree in finance or similar field

Required Experience:

  • 4-8 years in government financial planning and budget execution

Required Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with complex federal portfolios

Overview

Aveshka is looking for a UI/UX Developer in support of a high op-tempo, high visibility, and high-impact office within the Department of Health and Human Services. This developer needs to have experience in federal website User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design/development, to include front-end and back-end processes. The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. The Immediate Office (IO) is the executive leadership program office within ASPR.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new designs for the ASPR website using current best practices in User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design/development to design and implement (code) interactive web designs in a SharePoint environment, including interactive graphical content. Product must leverage best practices, be 508/WCAG 2.0 compliant, and work in both desktop and mobile environments.
  • Leverage existing designs during website development using existing website code as a model/template for new SharePoint-based webpages.
  • Develop and implement new designs for social media graphics based on government requirements.
  • Develop graphical products to ensure web and social media are visually aligned using engaging, informative, and accessible graphics including icons, charts, diagrams, infographics, and photography selection. Work with ASPR Communications team to create products that are visually consistent across web and social media platforms, which align with ASPR branding standards.
  • Support content team to migrate content from the PHE site to the ASPR site. Ensure that all migrated content effectively uses the new features in the website templates. Redesign content as needed as part of ongoing modernization efforts. Ensure that content is migrated completely using a phase-based approach.
  • Support search engine optimization of ASPR digital content by ensuring that content is tagged appropriately and can be easily found using major search engines.
  • Conduct quality assurance of new products and address existing quality issues by testing the site to ensure that it functions correctly/contains the correct content and that a typical user is not likely to see an error when browsing.
  • Support the ASPR Communications team to develop and maintain a content management lifecycle for the ASPR website to ensure content is reviewed, refreshed, and removed on a regular basis.
  • Develop an interactive map that allows users to select individual states and view related content on that state. Product must leverage best practices, be 508/WCAG 2.0 compliant, and work in both desktop and mobile environments.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of web development experience
  • Leads web design and development efforts (front-end and back-end steps)
  • User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design and development
  • SharePoint content management, including use of SharePoint web publishing, Visual Studio, and SharePoint Designer. Must be able to design and implement new webpages in a SharePoint 2016 environment or higher.
  • SQL, jQuery, custom web parts (including YouTube embeds), custom workflows (including InfoPath forms), YouTube embeds, ASP.NET, MOSS 360, HTML5, CSS, and Java
  • Content migration
  • Familiarity with implementation of WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Dreamweaver preferred
