Hello, Huntsville! Aveshka, Inc. announces its expansion in Alabama

March 10, 2022

Aveshka is proud to announce its increasing footprint through the opening of a new office location in Huntsville, Alabama. Taking its cue from federal customers who are located and/or who have recently moved to Huntsville, Aveshka aligned its business strategy by putting down roots in this area deemed to be “where the future of tech” is, as indicated by the Wall Street Journal in 2018.

This strategic move is to ensure Aveshka provides optimum support for its current customers while also expanding to new prospective customers in the area.

Huntsville, dubbed the “Silicon Valley of the South,” features Redstone Arsenal which is the home to various federal agencies to include US Army Materiel Command, US Army Aviation and Missile Command, US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Missile Defense Agency, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, DIA’s Missile and Space Intelligence Center, the FBI, and its newest tenant, the US Space Command. As the home base for many defense technology agencies, organizations, and companies, Huntsville has nurtured a class of IT talent over the years and now in 2022 has an even greater need for high-tech skill sets.

Aveshka’s cybersecurity, technology, and consulting portfolios combined with its deep subject matter expertise in these realms are undoubtedly equipped to support the growing Huntsville market.

Aveshka’s “boots on the ground” staff in Huntsville feature three specific key personnel:

Aaron Staley, Senior Vice President of Human Capital
A member of Aveshka’s Executive Team, Aaron is one of Aveshka’s founding members and has over 12 years of expertise and knowledge in the federal space, specifically the DIA, DOJ, and FBI.

Kris Lamb, Director of Advanced Programs
Coming from Davidson Technologies, Inc.., Kris is equipped with over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, program management, and business development. He also serves on the Board of Cyber Huntsville as the Deputy Director of Economic Development.

Katelin Reynolds, Technical Recruiter
Katelin is one of Aveshka’s newest hires, specifically tasked to tackle recruiting in Huntsville’s challenging technical market. Huntsville is experiencing a “negative unemployment rate” where there are more open jobs than the number of qualified people in Huntsville to hire.

“Our presence in Huntsville is a force multiplier for Aveshka’s business and is a key component of our overall strategic plan for ongoing growth,” says Staley. “While remote work has become more commonplace, we strongly believe that our in-person presence is crucial to cultivating customer relationships and capitalizing on strategic partnerships.”

Aveshka also participates in an SBA approved mentor protégé joint venture (JV) program with Drodex, Inc. who is also headquartered in Huntsville. The JV, CyberPro JV, LLC was recently awarded a spot on the GSA 8(a) STARS III GWAC. STARS III is a best-in-class small business set aside that features a pool of small business industry partners allowing numerous federal government agencies and the Department of Defense to access customized IT service solutions and expanded capabilities for emerging technologies.

Aveshka has a proven track record of providing forward leaning and practical cyber solutions for our various clients.
